Stax.ai Universal Roadmap
Here’s what we have planned for the Stax.ai suite of products.
Backlog
32Under consideration
Separate plan years
Stop accounts that were Zeroed out in 2024 and 2025 from showing up in 2026 as missing statements.
Creating your own admin status on the Plan Admin Page in CX
Currently, the plan admin page has predetermined admin status’s that you can choose from. Based on specific workflows from each TPA, the option to create your own admin status categories could help optimize how a TPA tracks the status of their workflow. Based on functionality of the page, these would have to be manually updated by the TPA, since they would be different across the board.
Save Automations: Add the ability to make the saving automation run based off of a condition
We have seen multiple teams use the save automation to save a file to the client directories, however, sometimes these save automation are looking for a file that might not exist at that time. Thus, making the automation fail. For example. In the APQ, if they are asking the plan sponsor to “provide a fidelity bond if available”, they are adding a task to the project to save that file to the client directories. However, if the plan sponsor does not provide a file, the automation would run and fail saying “no file to save”. If you add the conditional option to save automation, you could make it run if a file is present. If no file, mark automation/task as complete.
Ability to for admins/managers/leaders to filter or sort the home dashboard page by User
When first logging into CX, each individual user gets to see their personal ‘ daily brief ‘. This feature would allow someone with the right permission scope to filter or sort between different admins task so managers/leaders can check on the work of their employees and be able to export those results, if needed. Multiple individuals could be filtered on at the same time. Their projects and tasks would then show up for those with the right permissions.
Sharing Multiple Public Files with a secure share link/folder
Currently in CX, if you are wanting to share a file securely to someone who does not have client portal access, you can only share one file at a time. If you are wanting to share multiple files, you have to create multiple links. You can create a shared folder, that a person outside of the client portal can have access, however, that is only to upload files. Not download them. The feature request would be to either allow to select multiple files and create one link to share to public users. or Allow the public shared folder to upload and download files.
Payroll company to add
We have a plan sponsor that is requesting Vista be added to the list of payroll integrations
Added Assignee to Generating Reports inside of TPA Assets
In TPA Assets, you are able to generate reports and schedule those reports to go out. There is no filter for an assignee of the plan it falls under, this would add an ‘assignee’ field to those selectable options.
Email Notification of Updates Made to Contacts on Client Portal
It would be awesome if the Analyst/Administrator at our company assigned to a plan could recieve an email notification of any updates to plan or external contacts that are made on the client portal, so that we can ensure all of our databases are updated. A clear notification in CX would work as well.
Search Landing Page
It would be nice when searching for anything in the magic bar, if a window or page came up showing you all projects, tasks, the client, and the plans associated with the person, plan, or company you are searching.
Ability To Filter By Internal Role and Bulk Reassign by Internal Role, instead of Individual Employee (User)
I would like the ability when looking at projects or plans to filter by Internal Role and reassign projects by internal role, instead of just the user name.

Editing Website Addresses on Company Permission Scope
We’re adding permissions and safeguards for editing the website field. Only authorized users will be able to update it, and they’ll see a clear confirmation message explaining the impact before saving changes.
Ability to delete options in "Generate Custom Report'
When in To-do, under Projects or Tasks, you can click on “More” and Select Generate Custom Report”. This will allow you to either generate from a previous list of created reports or create a new custom report. In this option though, there is no way to truly “delete” maybe one that was made in error or is no longer needed.
Improved Email Sync and Organization in CX Inbox
Enhanced email handling within CX Inbox to better align with how teams manages communication in their existing email platform. Reflecting folder structures, tags, flags, and auto-forwarding rules from their email system, as well as enabling two-way sync so that changes made within CX Inbox (e.g. tagging, organizing, archiving) are mirrored in their original email account. These improvements would streamline workflows, reduce redundancy, and create a more intuitive experience for client-facing teams.

Updating address fields
I didn’t see that this had been reported, but when I try to update an address field the fields that come up are black and so is the text, so it’s difficult to see what you’re entering.
Annual Plan Administration Status
Help TPAs better understand where their plans are in the overall plan lifecycle and clean up disparate data across the platform.
Company and Ownership Information Change Notifications
The challenge: Important updates to company details (like ownership, payroll, or contacts) often happen outside of census season. Today, those changes can be hard to track, creating compliance and communication gaps. The feature: You’ll be able to enable notifications that alert you when key company or contact information is updated in the portal. A single daily email will summarize all changes, so you stay informed without extra noise.
Payroll Connection Notifications
Send email notifications to plan sponsors when payroll disconnects or requires re-authentication.
Clarify Required Data Fields in Payroll Report Upload Instructions
Suggestion: Update the payroll report upload section to explicitly mention full Social Security Number (SSN) and total hours worked as required fields when collecting census data. Rationale: The current instruction only specifies "SSN (at least last 4)" and does not mention hours worked. Since full SSN and hours worked are critical for plan compliance and eligibility tracking, they should be clearly called out in the interface. Example Update to UI Instruction: “To ensure complete census data, please include the full Social Security Number (not just last 4 digits) and total hours worked for each employee in your payroll report.” This clarification will help plan sponsors submit accurate data the first time, reduce manual follow-up, and support smoother data mapping into the system.
Client Portal Requests
Provide a method for plan sponsors and client portal users to make various requests through the client portal. This will then automatically launch selected projects and tasks inside CX, assigning them to the correct team members, and removing the email back and forth.
Multiple Employer Plan and Pooled Employer Plan Support
Today, MEP & PEP administration is a maze. Plan sponsors juggle dozens of adopting employers, each with its own payroll quirks and eligibility rules. TPAs stitch together spreadsheets to run employer-level tests, then re-aggregate everything for the consolidated 5500—while scrambling to keep portals, permissions, and audit trails in sync. It’s slow, error-prone, and painfully expensive. We’re fixing that. What’s Coming We’re rolling out MEP / PEP Intelligence—purpose-built tooling that treats a multi-employer plan like the single, fluid object it really is. That means: Adopting-Employer Profiles — configure eligibility, vesting, match, and payroll specs for each employer without touching the core plan document Dual-Lens Reporting — flip between employer-specific and consolidated views for census, payroll, testing, and participant data in one click Smart 5500 Prep — generate individual or aggregated filings (and signatures) from the same data set—no double work Granular Access Controls — plan sponsor dashboards, employer-only portals, and read/approve roles that map to real fiduciary lines Unified Audit Trail — every provision change, data upload, and approval logged once, visible everywhere
Contact Management in Stax.AI
Today, contacts are trapped in silos. They sit inside “Companies,” “Plans,” or “Deals,” forcing admins to juggle spreadsheets, Mailchimp lists, and Outlook groups just to send a single follow-up. Data fragments, compliance flags pile up, and engagement slips through the cracks. We’re fixing that. What’s Coming We’re launching People—a CRM-grade contact module purpose-built for TPAs. That means: One master record per person — manage every contact centrally, even if they’re unattached to a firm or plan Bulk email with brains — templates, scheduled sends, and merge tags—no more Mailchimp workarounds Full interaction timeline — see every send, open, reply, sentiment score, and task linked to that contact Role-based permissions — flag a user as Primary Contact, Accountant, or Plan Participant and auto-tailor their portal experience Automation toggles — auto-link email threads, trigger portal invites, or pause access with one switch
Visual Dashboards
Today, TPAs are flying blind. Project status hides in spreadsheets, task owners slip through the cracks, and leaders waste hours chasing down who’s doing what—and which clients are about to erupt. Capacity planning is guesswork, client-health reviews are retroactive, and payroll integration issues surface only after a deadline is missed. It’s costly, chaotic, and completely avoidable. We’re fixing that. We’re rolling out Visual Dashboards—real-time, interactive views that turn your mountain of project and client data into a crystal-clear cockpit. That means: Instant portfolio visibility — every project, task, owner, and due date in one place Team workload heatmaps — balance capacity before burnout or bottlenecks hit Client-health scorecards — spot at-risk plans early and intervene proactively Payroll-connection monitors — see which feeds are healthy, stale, or broken at a glance Export-ready executive summaries — share progress with stakeholders in seconds
5500s In Stax.AI
We’re building integrated support for Form 5500 workflows across our Trust Accounting and Client Experience platforms. This effort will enable TPAs to manage, prepare, and share 5500-related data and documents in a unified, streamlined experience. With this enhancement, data extracted and organized within Trust Accounting—such as plan details, financials, and schedules—can be seamlessly surfaced in Client Experience for collaboration, review, and delivery. This connection eliminates redundant work, reduces the risk of versioning issues, and simplifies compliance tasks.
